Features and Benefits

A Perfect Pair

The NT05R drag radial works in unison with the NT05 max performance street tire, so you can put the drag radials on the rear axle, where rear-wheel drive vehicles need the most traction, and the NT05s on the front axle. When developing both product lines, Nitto developed sizing to fit modern performance vehicles.

Competition Performance

The large solid center rib provides a continuous contact patch for dry traction.

High-Speed Stability

The enhanced sidewall construction combined with high-modulus bead filler and large shoulder blocks increase straight-line stability.

Specialized Race Compound

The new drag racing-specific compound was engineered for increased traction at the starting line.

Industry Quotes

Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords

Steve Baur

At the end of the day, we dropped a tenth of a second in our 60-foot time, which allowed the car to improve from a 11.11 to a 10.80. Having the extra traction allowed for a more aggressive tune that improved elapsed times as well.

Super Chevy Magazine

Jim Campisano

In the end, the Nittos held the slightest of edges in both 60-ft time (1.77 vs. 1.786) and elapsed time (11.068 vs. 11.110). This gives them bragging rights for this story, but the real battle will be found in actual competition.
